FREE THINGS TO DO IN ST.LOUIS

Good Morning from St. Louis, MO!

When traveling on a budget it can be hard when there are so many things that cost money. In St. Louis, there are tons of things that you can do without spending a penny.

Here is my list of free things to do in St. Louis!

Laumeier Sculpture Park

This sculpture park has many things to offer. There is the most Instagrammed eye, a 12-foot tall deer and many more that will not disappoint.

St. Louis Zoo

This Zoo is the 4th best zoo in the USA and the 8th best in the world. It is one that you will not want to miss. From feeding the giraffes to seeing the monkeys it is fun for all ages.

Botanical Gardens

This is the oldest and largest traditional Japanese gardens in the USA. Although most of the week you must pay to enter, It is free on Wednesday’s and Saturday’s!

Art Museum

This is a one of a kind Art museum. It is more than just paintings there are also sculptures that will blow your mind. It is free but to enter the special exhibit halls there is a fee or the whole museum including the special exhibits are free on Friday’s.

History Museum

This is a free museum of the history of Missouri. There are many different exhibits taking you back in time through a historical portal.

Delmar Loop

This is the St. Louis walk of fame featuring many musicians. The street is lined with places to shop and dine. It is a great place to spend an afternoon exploring the city.  

Science Center and Planetarium

This place will take you on a trip to the stars. With many different planetarium shows and tours through the science center, it will be an evening well spent.

4-mile Graffiti Wall

Located right next to the famous Gateway Arch of St. Louis is a graffiti wall perfect for pictures. You can either walk or drive the road of pure art. Whichever you do make sure to take lots of pictures.

The City Garden

Between lush landscaping, beautiful fountains, and the fabulous downtown of St. Louis it is definitely a sight to add to your list. There are many places to shop and dine alongside the gardens.

Gateway Arch

This is something that is free to take pictures by and walk around the park. If you would like to go to the top of the Arch you will need to pay. This is a must-see during your trip to St. Louis. It is one of the main attraction in the city.

Anheuser Busch Brewery Tour

This tour will take you through a time portal to the history of making Budweiser. Their guided tours make a great afternoon experience. You must be of drinking age to enter though so bring your ID.

Chocolate Chocolate Chocolate Company Tour

Who wouldn’t want to visit a place full of heavenly chocolate and delicious sea salt caramel? This free tour is a great way to learn a little more about how the chocolate and other goodies are made.

Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis

This is a breathtaking cathedral filled with amazing architecture you do not want to miss. It is home to the world’s largest mosaic. Whether you are religious or not it is a sight that should definitely be on your list.
