About Me

Hello, Bonjour, Hola!

I’m Gina, just your average girl with above average goals!

Welcome to my blog first off! I am glad you somehow ended up here!

Before college, I attended a small Catholic high school in my hometown. In high school, my family hosted two exchange students and after that, all I wanted to do was to study abroad myself. So, during my senior year of high school, I did a semester abroad in France with a program called AFS. It was the best experience of my life, which made me want to start this blog, and realize all I want to do is explore! You can read all about my exchange –>here 😉

Then, I graduated high school and shipped off to college. Here I felt so trapped! The travel bug inside me was dying to run free and see the world. With this being said, when I was 18 I decided to drop out of college so I could travel more. It was quite an interesting time in my life. I am starting to conquer the world one country at a time and was happier than ever! If you are curious about how this all happened, be sure to check out my post about it –> here

The summer after my first year of college I packed my bags and set off to explore Europe! I started with a cooking and language program through my school in Italy and then traveled to 10 countries alone and ended with visiting my French family! Traveling alone was yet another eye-opening experience but I enjoyed it so much! You can read about the things I did in Europe by clicking –> here!

After galavanting for a year, the travel bug in me was here to stay! My travel bucket list just kept growing longer and longer each day. I became ready to hop on a plane to anywhere, at honestly, any given moment!

My family and I then moved to Colorado and I took on a full-time job to save up for an adventure I had been planing long before I had even been bit by the travel bug. Semester at Sea, a dream of mine that I couldn’t shake off.

2020 came and it was a long hard year of more work than travel and I was more than ready to set sail! When I left on January 4th, 2020 I was full of excitement and hope for one of the best years of my life. Well, we all know how that turned out. My trip ended up getting canceled halfway through and I only saw 3 of 12 countries. It was quite disappointing but in the end, I did have a great time and if you would like to read about it, you can —> Here!

2020 has been rough for everyone, and if you are like me the worst part is being stuck at home! I have been keeping myself busy as I am so fortunate to live in the beautiful state of Colorado.

I have always loved to live my life to the absolute fullest and I hope I can inspire you to get out of your comfort zone and travel the world. Many see the world with closed eyes to the bad, yet nothing is weird, just different, and when opening your eyes you can see the world in a new way!

So as I leave the known to unlock the secrets of the unknown, I hope you stay for the adventure!

xoxo Gina
