Good Morning Travel Bugs,
Ever since I was a little girl I was told, you can be anything you want. My family has supported me in everything that I have ever wanted do from playing sports, to studying abroad in France for a semester while just in high school. I am truly grateful for everything they have done for me! I learned so much from my family and always felt their love and support!
If you were to ask me on December 31, 2017, what my plans for 2018 are, I would have said nothing special. I would be in college at St. Norbert, working on my blog here and there when I get a chance and traveling to Europe this summer! I’d be taking life one step at a time. My life isn’t anything other than a normal college kid trying to get their life pulled together!
WRONG!
2018 has only just begun and I have already done something I would have never thought in a million years I would be doing. I decided to take a leap of faith and hope for the best!
On January 1st, 2018 my dad decided to ask me a thousand question he already knew the answer to. I was more than confused. He was asking me things such as, “What is your dream? What do you want to do in the future? Are you am doing what you should too achieve your wildest dreams?” I didn’t know what to say. We have talked about this so many times, he better have known the answers.
To make a long story short his final question was, “What could you do to live out your dream?” As a joke, I answered, “Drop out of college and travel the world!”
As I laughed, he looked at me and said I think that’s what you need to do!
So, on January 5th, my whole life changed!
I called the college I was attending to tell them I was no longer returning for the spring semester and I applied to an online college. I still want to get a degree so through this online college I will be taking classes to earn a degree in International Studies while I can still work hard on achieving my dream of being a full-time traveler!
With big dreams, comes hard work! This will be the hardest but most rewarding thing that I believe I will ever do!
So here is me dreaming as big as I can just as if I were 5 years-old again! I have hopes of working for the life that I have always dreamed of, I am happy to say that I am starting 2018 off with my best foot forward. I’m more than excited to start this new lifestyle and see what the world has to offer.
With all that being said I would love any suggestions on where to go, what to write about, or just questions you may have!
