COOKING CLASS

July 4, 2018

I am not a chef in any way nor will I ever be but learning to cook Italian food for two weeks was my favorite part of being in Italy. Learning to cook Italian food really made me realize how much work cooking actually is. Now if I am being completely honest my cooking skills are about as good as mac and cheese and frozen pizza. Learning how to make pasta from scratch and other amazing Italian dishes is something I will start to do when I get back home and share with my family.

Some of my favorite dishes that we made were lasagna, pesto pasta, and tiramisu. These typical Italian dishes tasted even better when I knew what was going on it and even made it myself. I have never been a huge fan of pesto either. I have always liked it but would never order it. After making it our self that was the best pesto I have ever had!

One thing that I was so surprised about was the zucchini flowers. I had never had them before or even knew that you can eat it. One nice as an appetizer we covered them in breading of flour and sparkling water, the fried them. Not knowing if I would like it or not, to my surprise it was one of my favorite things that we had through the time in Italy.

I loved the Italian cooking class and it was defiantly one of the highlights of my trip to Italy! I can’t wait to show my family the best Italian food they will ever eat!
