Bonjour France,
Bastille Day is the 14th of July in France. For those of you that don’t know this is their Independence Day. They have a big parade in the morning and Fireworks at the Eiffel Tower at night. The French don’t take the festivities as far as we Americans do but it was still fun to be apart of the day and see the fireworks at night.
Bastille Day is celebrating the storming of the Bastille which was a military fortress and prison in 1789. The Parade that takes place in the morning is one of the largest military parades. French troops march through with their national anthem is played.
People go out and have drinks and then gather all around the city to watch the spectacular fireworks. The red white and blue fireworks from all angles of the Eiffel Tower. It is definitely a cool thing to see.
à bientôt
xoxo Gina
