Hello,
Time to talk about my little hometown of Green Bay, Wisconsin.
If you look up what to do when visiting Green Bay you might find things like take a tour of the Packer stadium, go to the Packer hall of fame, eat at 1919 (the restaurant in the Packer Stadium)! Can you tell we are home to the NFL Green Bay Packers?
But, what if you aren’t a Packers fan, or you just aren’t a football fan? Then where do you go?
Well… you’re in the right place! Here are ten things to do in Green Bay!
1. The Green Bay Botanical Gardens
This is an awesome place to go if you are a nature lover! They have beautiful gardens to walk around and many places to stop where you can have a picnic or just take in the gorgeous scenery. Also during the summer, they have concerts in the garden where you can go and listen to some live music, eat some snacks and enjoy the gardens afterward.
If you are visiting in the winter, no worries. They set up the garden of lights during this time of year! Light fills every corner making the garden grounds just as beautiful to see as the blooming flowers in the spring. You can walk the path yourself or take a horse-drawn ride around!
3. The New Zoo and Adventure Park
The New Zoo is open all year round and has many things to do throughout the zoo. From feeding to the Giraffes to zipping down the zip line in the adventure park, you won’t be disappointed.

2. Bay Beach Amusement Park
This amusement park is one of the cheapest places you can catch a good ride in Green Bay. Many of the rides cost less than a dollar, some even cost only .25 cents. It is a great place for all ages. They have rides for toddlers to teens to adults. It is located on the Fox River and is also a great place to have a picnic or just walk along the river after spinning in circles on the many rides.
4. The Encrypted Escape
This is a great place to go and test your skills. You get locked in a room and are given different clues to try and escape before your time runs out. It is best if you go with a group of 4 or more people! There are lots of clues and it is recommended that if you have never done something like this before to start with an easier room and then go to a harder room later.
6. Fonferek Glen Park
This is one of my favorite places to go in the summer! It has many different places to have a picnic, get together, and explore the beautiful nature. There are many different trails and waterfalls.
5. Titletown skating and sledding
This skating rink was just opened in December of 2017. It is right next to the Packer Stadium and is a great place to get some outside skating or some awesome sledding! There are also light shows during the month of December.
7. Wildlife Sanctuary
This is located right next to the Bay Beach. They have many wildlife displays. You can also feed the ducks or fish in the small lake in the summer. In the winter you can go snowshoeing or cross-country skiing!
8. Heritage Hill
If you are looking to find out a little more about the past. Head over to Heritage Hill to learn how it was way back when. They have many different things to do such as snowshoeing and sledding in the winter to learning how to make yarn and butter in the summer. They have many great activities for both kids and adults throughout both the winter and summer!
9. Farmers market on Broadway
The Farmers Market is run in the summer on Wednesday nights from 3-8pm. It is a great place to go and hang out with friends or caught a bite to eat. Walk up and down the street to catch the smell of the fresh fruits and vegetables or the gorgeous flowers.
