LONDON

December 3, 2018

Hello from England!

London was one of my favorite city’s. There are so many awesome cafes and restaurants to chill at. Also, who doesn’t love a British accent! Although London can be very expensive there are so many things to see and do!

The underground goes almost everywhere but can get kind of pricey so before you leave each day, consider how much you will be using it and if you take 3 or more rides it is more beneficial to just buy a day pass.

1. Buckingham Palace

This is the classic thing to see in London. If you’re lucky you may even be able to see someone in the royal family. The Buckingham Palace features 775 rooms. Of these rooms, 188 are staff bedrooms, 92 offices, 78 bathrooms, 52 royal, and guest bedrooms, and 19 staterooms. They do offer tours but you must book tickets for them in advance and there are quite a few rules along with it!

2. Cafes

There are so many great cafes to check out all over London. Grab a good cup of coffee and enjoy your morning. There is a cafe to fit every need! One I highly recommend is Elan. It is a pink cafe and the food lives up to the elegance of the cafe.

3. Big Ben

Big Ben is one of the iconic things everyone hopes to see when in London. Sadly the famous clock tower was under construction when I visited and is not planned to be finished until sometime in 2021.

4. London eye

Another iconic London landmark is the London Eye. If you are planning to take a ride on the eye or want to do other activities in London I highly recommend buying your tickets online ahead of time because you can save up to 40% off if you book online. If you want a good view of the London Eye cross the bridge and take the view in from the other side of the river.

5. Camden Market

This market is great for food and getting any souvenirs you want in London. There are tons of shops selling things from handmade jewelry to the best souvenirs. They also have a great food selection. They have anything from cookie dough to coconut water to burgers. There are also all kinds of events in that area so be sure to check out their website to see if there is anything fun going on while you are in London.

6. Cutty Sark

This museum through the boat is a great way to see some of the history. Built-in 1869 to carry tea back from China, Cutty Sark visited nearly every major port in the world and gained fame for its record-breaking passages.

7. Tower bridge

One of the most used bridges in London is the Tower Bridge. About 40,000 people cross it each day. They have also recently added a glass walkway if you are interested in climbing to the top.

8. Stone Henge

This is about an hour away from the city but there are tons of buses that take tourist out to see the famous rock structure. The fee to enter is a little pricey but its definitely something that should be on your list.

9. Free Museums

Even if you are not the biggest fan of museums these free museums are a great way to learn some history while abroad. The following museums are free to the public.  -> Click Here <-

See You Soon!
