Hej fra Danmark!

As many may know Denmark is a Scandinavian country and one of the happiest in the world. The positive energy in Denmark constantly brought a smile to my face but a frown to my pocketbook. As are most Scandinavian countries it is not an easy country to go to on a budget but here as some free things that you can check out to keep your bank account just as happy as you!

1. Nyhaven

This is the famous pier where all of the colorful buildings are. If you go early enough in the morning you can get a great reflection in the water. They also offer rides down the river and there are plenty of shops and restaurants surrounding the pier to catch a bite to eat or a nice souvenir to take home.

2. Free Walking Tour

Throughout many cities in Europe, they offer free walking tours where at the end it is good to leave a small tip for the tour guide. The walking tour is a great way to explore the city and learn some of the histories. It is also a good way to find out what things you would like to go back to later in your trip and explore further

3. Rent a Bike

You are more likely to get run over by a bike in Copenhagen than a car. The bike culture is in Copenhagen is insane so why not join it. There are a billion places to rent bikes all around town and it is a great way to get some exercise and see the city.

4. Shopping

This may not be the cheapest thing to do but there is a famous shopping area in Copenhagen that is fun to get lost in. The streets are lined with shops and places to caught a bite to eat. Even if you don’t buy anything it is fun to check out all of the different clothing lines in Denmark.

5. Round Tower

This tower is located in the main shopping area in Copenhagen. It does cost to enter but only a few bucks. The tower has no stairs but an amazing view at the top.

Vi ses snart!
